Crochet Tutorial: 2-Color Cord

SHARE

The 2-color cord is a great alternative to the crochet i-cord because it’s easier to make without having to remove one’s crochet hook. By using 2 colors, you can create an interesting pattern cord to use as a bag strap, belt or gift tie. Change how you switch the colors, and create a different looking cord.

Below you will find two versions of the 2-color cord. Grab some scrap yarn to begin practicing today!

Multiples needed for the stitch

Luckily, there is not stitch multiple to think about. You can make as few as two or 1000 to use in your crochet projects.

The 2-color cord was used to make the body and wrist straps for the Diamonds Crossbody Clutch. It can also be used for the belt of the X-capade Poncho. It makes a great alternative strap for the Boho Belt Bag too!
