Welcome to Creations by Courtney!

Hello! I’m Courtney of Creations by Courtney, based in Atlanta, Georgia. I share my life with my husband, our son, twin girls, and our beloved cavapoo, Brooklyn. By day, I work as a licensed psychologist, helping clients navigate anxiety and depression. In the free moments, during practices, and on weekends, I dive into my passion for crochet design.

Crochet has been a part of my life since I was eight, thanks to my incredibly talented mother who taught me the craft. Over the years, I’ve explored various aspects of crocheting and even ventured into sewing. While my early crochet attempts—like the baby blanket that turned into a scarf—were a bit quirky, they laid the foundation for my journey.

In April 2011, I officially launched Creations by Courtney, focusing on completed crochet items before transitioning to publishing patterns in 2017. Since then, I’ve participated in events like Strands, a Fiberarts Fashion Show, the inaugural Crochet Fashion, and have been featured in various national and international crochet publications.

My mission is to empower adventurous beginners and intermediate crocheters by boosting their confidence through skill development and knowledge in creating crochet garments. I offer size inclusive patterns and a supportive community where fellow crocheters can thrive.
